How do I apply iron-on name labels?

Press a hot dry iron on the garment for 3 seconds to preheat it, place the label name-side up, cover it with the baking paper supplied, then press firmly for 10–20 seconds with the iron on wool or cotton and the steam OFF. Remove the paper once it has cooled and wait at least 3 hours before washing.

Are these labels suitable for aged care laundries?

Are you looking for stronger clothing name labels that will last a lifetime? Need durable labels either for your kids in boarding school or for granny going to aged care? These woven fabric labels are your first choice.

Our personalised woven labels are durable, colourfast, and machine washable at high temperatures. They won’t fade or peel off in the wash or dryer. However, for hot water washes, we recommend sewing the corners in addition to ironing them on, rather than relying solely on the iron-on adhesive.

The woven labels are made from soft material, so that they won't scratch skin. Each label is individually heat cut with edges sealed. They are ready to sew and won't fray in wash.

These woven iron & sew labels have glue on the back, so you can iron them on — or sew them for extra security.

Please note that if white background is chosen, the white colour cannot completely cover the colour on the back. So if you choose blue for the text, the label background looks a little bit light blue. This is the nature of the woven labels.

Instructions

Woven Iron On Label Instructions

Labels can be applied to most iron-able fabrics.

1. Place the label on the garment with name side facing up.
2. Put a piece of quality baking paper supplied over the label.
3. Preheat the dry iron temperature to wool or cotton, press firmly for 10-20 seconds.
4. Repeat as needed to ensure the label is firmly applied and not lifting at any point.
5. Remove the paper after it cools down. Wait for at least 3 hours before washing the garment.

Tips:

Do not iron the label for too long if not sure. The temperature and amount of time required are subject to the fabric.

Use a dry iron. If it's a steam iron, don't put any water. Make sure to avoid putting the steam holes on top of the labels as there is no heat or pressure under the holes.

Firmly press the iron on top of the labels.

Before applying the second labels, make sure to wait until the temperature light on the iron is off. Otherwise, the iron might not be hot enough.

After ironing the face of the label, you can turn the cloth inside out and iron on the back of the label in order to make it stay better.

Woven Sew In Label Instructions

These labels are individually cut and hot sealed, so they are ready for machine sewing or hand stitching. You can either sew around or on both ends only. Just prepare your machine or needle & threads and start to sew.
